Volunteer With DAHC
Volunteers play an important role in supporting our residents and strengthening neighborhoods across Denton County. Through our Support Services Department, there are several ways you can serve your community, connect with neighbors, and make a direct impact on resident well-being.
Whether you want to participate individually or as part of a group, your time and compassion can make a meaningful difference.
Food Pantry Delivery
Help ensure residents have access to essential food and supplies.
Once a month, DAHC Supportive Services and community volunteers deliver food from the Denton Community Food Center to residents who face barriers to accessing it themselves. These barriers may include disabilities, work schedules, or lack of transportation. Volunteers help ensure residents receive the resources they need with dignity and consistency.
Food Pantry Delivery takes place every third Wednesday of the month. Volunteers must complete a brief interest form and sign a liability waiver on the day of service.
If you or someone you know is interested in supporting this effort, please complete the form.
Handy Volunteers and Project-Based Help
Use your skills to support residents and improve our communities.
We are always grateful for volunteers who enjoy hands-on projects. Skilled individuals or groups can support residents and properties through activities such as:
• yard work
• fence repairs
• building raised garden beds for seniors
• small property projects and odd jobs
If you are interested in project-based volunteering or using your skills to help our residents, we would love to hear from you.
Group Volunteer Opportunities
Bring your group for a short, meaningful day of service.
DAHC welcomes volunteer groups who want to support residents with projects that improve comfort, safety, and well-being. These activities often include light housekeeping, organizing belongings, and light yard work for residents who need extra support to maintain their homes.
If your group would like to volunteer, please contact our Supportive Services Program Manager to learn about current needs and available opportunities.
